Review: Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait

Winter has not been kind to my lips. I prefer matte lipsticks but I realised the harsh temperatures we've been having have taken a toll on my lips so I decided to check out the Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butters. I really wanted Juicy Papaya but they apparently don't sell it here in NZ so I settled on Peach Parfait - a nude/pink shimmer that looks subtle but gorgeous.

I adore this colour. At first I was annoyed at the lack of pigmentation but after a few uses, I'm hooked. It leaves a beautiful sheen on my lips that brightens my entire face. It has a little shimmer but not too much to distract, which is great.

Here's the swatches. As you can see, it's a shimmery pink that appears nude on the lips. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a moisturising lipstick or a shimmery nude. The shimmer in it livens up the face, I love wearing this to uni when I'm feeling tired and need to brighten things up.

I find it lasts quite a while, considering it's very sheer. As you can see on the first swatch, it is a little melty. I live in a very cold climate so that's saying something. If you live somewhere even remotely hot (or if your lippie lives in a bag) I would hesitate to recommend this purely because of the melt factor.

The price is pretty good - I paid $27.50 (owch) for this at Farmers because they didn't have it at Kmart, but you can find it for half that online, obviously. It's perfect for winter or lazy makeup days and I love how buildable it is. I definitely plan on buying a few more before summer comes around for simple, light makeup looks.

What is your go to lazy day lipstick?
