Review: The Body Shop 'Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion'

I have some issues with acne scarring and general redness on my face so I've been on the lookout for budget friendly blemish lotions. I love tea tree - it reminds me of when I used to take baths in my residential hall as I used to pour in the tea tree oil and feel like a princess, so I associate the delish smell with that.



Along with the good memories, this stuff works like a charm. I've been using it nightly for about 2-3 weeks now and I've already seen a considerable difference on stubborn scars on my cheeks. It's like a gel, as you can see in the next photo, and it blends over moisteriser easily and isn't visible. It's cooling too, which makes it perfect to put on my hot face after my nightly showers.

As you can see, a white gel-like substance, it completely disappears into the skin leaving no trace. If your skin is quite bad, it's totally possible to apply this before makeup if you leave it about 5 minutes before applying primer or foundation.

I haven't tried many other blemish fade products (just a few ZA cleansers) but I'm impressed and this products ability to show a major difference in such a short time. It's affordable too - I believe it was around $35NZD and as with all Body Shop products, I predict it'll last me around 6-7 months.

Love this stuff, hopefully I won't have to repurchase it but I highly recommend it if you have issues with scars. Or even if you want a nice cooling lotion for irritated skin, though I do believe they're released a cooling tea tree cleanser in the past week or so which I'm super keen to try.
